When it comes to paragraph 8, I find there are still a number of questions for me to deal with. In the forth line, there comes a phrase “too well” that attracts me. I consider “too well” is deleted; it is still a complete sentence. And I know it is a simple use to put “well” in last of sentence. Why does the author put “too well” just in the middle of the sentence? It seems that the writer is aimed at drawing readers’ attention on “too well”. In my view, it has the hint that the writer disagrees to the company’s contents of knowing. With the increasing consciousness of the advent of commercial society, the performance of companies has become the focus of popular concerns. The report of mass media discloses the behaviors of companies in new. So the companies know how the public like them. They will spare no efforts to leave a good impression to the public because they know “too well” what public impact them. The public will have certain impression which contributes to stable or unstable workforce.
In paragraph 9, the phrase “prestigious department store” appeals to me. I look up the word “prestigious” in the online dictionary [.]it refers to greatly respected and admired, usually because of being important. So I think the meaning of the whole phrase is similar to “the authority”. However, I wonder to know the reason why special contributions call for a small gift from a prestigious department store. Is the gifts sent by prestigious department store charming? Or there are other reasons? As far as I am concerned, there will be the contributions you made, the results due to your perfect work and the signature of the prestigious department store on the gift card. Employees take this kind of gifts seriously. They consider gifts as accomplishment. The relatives take pride in having such a family member. What’s more, the above results bring about the connection between work and home life and satisfaction of employees. This is my understanding.
