The attitude, to a certain degree, can determine the results of many things. If someone devotes oneself wholly to work, he or she may enjoy the job and consider it as one of the sources of self-esteem and satisfaction in life. Having read the first three paragraphs in unit three, I quite agree with the view that indeed most workers nowadays want meaning in their work and balance in their lives, and they are likely to work for an ethical company that acts in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. However, in my opinion, the reason why they will have such an attitude is the much emphasis of individual, personality and challenge wanting. People now have an idea of having personal value and they like challenge.
In this section, the word “authoritarian’’ means demanding total obedience and refusing to allow people freedom to act as they wish. “Dehumanizing” means to remove from a person the special human qualities of independent thought, feeling for other people. We may see a phenomenon that nowadays people are eager to work in an equal and warm environment and like being respected as individuals.
I know the mental challenge which is closely related to job satisfaction and success or achievement in reaching an accepted standard of competence is an important factor in job satisfaction. Making work meaningful is a significant and essential aspect in corporations. I really believe it’s an exact right value. Some people complain the press from the job, while stress comes not only(doesn't come only) from your employer and colleagues, but most important, from your own attitude.
