In paragraph 8, I think how companies deal with issues like ethic diversity, harassment, hiring and firing, profit sharing, and other labor policies is very important. There are many factors may restrict [restricting] companies to get profits. If you want to get more profits, you need to put up with those problems.
Two examples show us that a company did not deal with problems will lead to failure. So we shall believe the employees are the base of a company. The connection between a stable workforce and profitability has been made quite clear. So companies should understand their employees and value them.
I think this paragraph is not difficult. I can understand the generally meanings of all sentences [add that] except for “ethnic diversity” and “harassment”. I do not know their meanings exactly.
In paragraph 9, more and more companies pay attention to the employees’ potentiality. They use many ways in order to prove the employees’ motivation and productivity. I think their action is [actions are] right and sensible. I believe this will give more profits to them.
When I read this paragraph, I feel puzzled. There are many sentences and words confuse [confusing] me. I can’t understand them and surpass these balks.
