我大概以2003年的牙盘+中轴为例来说说区别吧：当然了，Deore以上都是中空曲柄臂加花键（Deore有一款是方孔）加9速的，下面主要说区别。
XTR:曲柄臂是铸造硬质铝，盘片都是7075铝的，链轮螺母螺钉也都是7075铝的，腿的长度从165~180mm，每2.5mm有一个型号，也就是说有7种长度，平均重量797克中轴和牙盘是一体的。其他几个型号都不是一体的。
XT:曲柄臂是铸铝，中盘小盘片不是7075铝了，螺母和螺钉也是普通铝，腿的长度一共有5种规格，平均重量872克。
LX:在XT的基础上，大盘中盘是铝的，小盘片是钢的，螺钉为不锈钢，螺母为钢，腿的长度只有170和175mm两种规格，平均重量906克。
Deore:中盘小盘都是钢的，大盘有一种钢的一种铝的，中轴有一个型号不是中空的（un)，另一个型号(es)是和LX以上类型一样是中空的，平均重量为972克~1093克。
再举例说说飞轮：都是9段的
XTR:大的四片盘片是钛的，小的五个是钢的，齿片表面处理是镀层材料为Ti/Ni-P轻质合金底座，重量240克
XT:从XT往下全部为钢盘片了，齿片表面镀铬，重量300克
LX:底座不再是轻质合金，齿片表面处理为"珠光表面处理"，重量330克
Deore:齿片表面处理为镀Ni，重量358克
看了上面的，大家应该有点体会了。XTR就是不惜成本的要把东西做成精品，其实并不见得不耐用的，但是有时候在高性能和耐用上会一定程度上考虑前者。
XT是去掉了奢侈品的好代表：例如不用钛片什么的，不用特殊材料，都还是用价格比较合理的材料。LX为简略版XT，个别地方就开始偷懒。Deore则够用就行的了。
