In paragraph six, by raising the question of weather the development of living standard can lead our humans look forward to increasing happiness. We can see that the author wants to invite our attentions. Then, he gives us his opinions in the following text. That is happy people usually have four typical traits: they like themselves, they feel personal control, they usually optimistic, and they tend to be extroverted.
To some degree, I agree with the author. In my view, the person who is optimistic and extroverted will have a more happy life than that of pessimistic and introverted. Because I think, it is easy for them to deal with frustrations. They always expect to succeed, and have positive-thinking, which lead them happier.
This is also the aim, which I pursue.
