In paragraph ten, firstly, I don’t know the first word “narcissistic” means, but I want to guess what it means, I look at the next word “showoffs”, I know what it means from my English book, above all, it is a noun and then the book explains a person who behaves in a way what makes his skills, abilities, or good qualities very obvious in order to impress people or to attract attention, therefore, I think personally the word narcissistic is a kind of modify of people’s personality, however, still I can’t understand it is exact means ,consequently, I look it up in Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English online, there are three words in here ,it means when someone is too concerned about their appearance or abilities or spends too much time admiring them-used to show disapproval, there is a example in here, he went to gym every day ,driven purely by narcissism, and another word is narcissist ,it is also a noun but countable, the last word is narcissistic ,it is a adjective and show me a phrase “a narcissistic personality”. For the explanations presented above, I know it stands for a bad side of people’s personality, so I decided to continue to read this passage until I understand explicitly.
