该校的学生生活生机勃勃。学生与当地人口的比例是整个英国国内最高的。该校的娱乐活动按照学生的需求开展。有各种
邓迪大学在邓迪的生活费用比在英国其它许多地方都便宜，每年大约需5000英镑生活费用，其中包括住宿、食品、服装、娱乐、学习和去欧美等国旅游的花费。大学保证第一年来我校就读的外国留学生的住宿，住宿的形式有包餐公寓和不包餐公寓两种。每周住宿费从36～75镑不等，而且绝大多数的学生宿舍都在校园内，或校园附近。
该校校园是一个整体，中心区域有教学区、体育中心、社交场所等。保证为学生提供的住宿设施也集中在中心区。学校有10个信息技术组，拥有数百台个人电脑，学生可以在这些电脑上运行视窗软件上网或是收发电子邮件。该校的主图书馆藏书50多万册。此外，法学系、艺术设计系、医学护理系还有自己的专业图书馆。许多学生宿舍都有互联网和局域网接入。
多数学生住在校舍，新生住校比较容易，一些学生住在城里，但房租并不便宜。大多数学生居住在校内或离校园很近的大学宿舍。大学的教学设施、学生宿舍以及体育运动设施和学生的社交场所均在校园内，这就创造了邓迪大学学生的集体意识和轻松友好的氛围。
