人体工学是诞生于第二次世界大战后的一种技术，除了我们常见的造型设计外，人体工学实际上还包括了如按钮的位置安排、说明文字的设计等多种方面。而概括来说，实质上，所谓人体工学，在本质上就是使工具的使用方式尽量适合人体的自然形态，这样就可以使用工具的人在工作时，身体和精神不需要任何主动适应，从而尽量减少使用工具造成的疲劳。 鼠标的人体工学设计，主要就是鼠标的造型设计。而要研究这个问题，首先需要研究人手的自然结构。
