《黑日危机》起初，制片方曾设想让健在的邦德女郎出现在片中，其中包括厄苏拉·安德列斯、黛安娜·里格、法米克·詹森和芭芭拉·贝芝等人，但这个设想最终变为泡影。
片头字幕出现前的水上追逐画面是所有007影片中最长的“序曲”，将近15分钟，用了6周才拍摄完成，动用了35条船，而且在网上进行了现场直播。这段镜头的最初设想不是用于片头，因为试映式上观众反映原有片头不够刺激，于是将这段画面移至片头。
另外，影片还在英国军情六处的总部大楼拍摄外景，军情六处曾以安全为由拒绝拍摄，外交部长罗宾·库克就此敦促文化部长珍妮特·安德森让军情六处协作拍摄，库克说道：“毕竟邦德为英国效力，这是我们所能尽到的微薄之力。”
·“Orbis non sufficit”是拉丁语的“the world is not enough”，这句话是邦德家族的座右铭，007小说和1969年的《女皇密使》中都曾提及。
